Wrap Up of the Alive!, Succeed Charity Ball
WOW, what a great night everyone!! Thank you all so much for making it one of the best nights of my life.
It was an amazing crowd with 600 + people in attendance rocking it out to the amazing band “Ignition”, what a great atmosphere!!
A huge thanks to all the sponsors of the event, I will do up a post on all over the coming weeks.
Of course, thank you to the amazing Legs Dance Studio, dancers who set the place on fire with an amazing introduction to the night.
These girls are available to be booked for functions and I can’t speak highly enough about them, they were amazing.
We are still awaiting the final tally on how much we have raised, but just wanted to send out a few photos for you to look at.
Remember you can purchase any photos for $5 that will also go to Clare Holland House Fund at: http://travislongmorephotography.com.au
Succeed Client - Everyday Hero
As most of you know I also had a little boy that I almost lost at birth just over a year ago.
We have one of our clients doing The Canberra Times Fun Run this year and will be dedicating her run to:
The Miracle Babies Foundation through everyday hero.
Our client Rosy, had an amazing little boy born at 25 weeks (he is now a very healthy 2 1/2 year old), here is what she had to say:
“As most of you know, my son Angus was born premature at 25 weeks and is now a healthy 2 ½ year old. If it wasn’t for the care he received and the amazing medical equipment, I believe that he wouldn’t be here with us today. So for us, every day is a celebration of life. I have decided to celebrate both Angus’ life and my newly found healthier life by dedicating my run in the Canberra Times Fun Run to all premature and sick newborns and raising money for The Miracle Babies Foundation through everyday hero.” Rosy
“Since recommencing Boot Camp with Succeed in May 2010, I have gone on to improve my fitness and lose nearly 20kgs in the process. Putting it into a more visual perspective, when I first started, I was pushing a size 24 and yesterday I brought a dress, for the Succeed Charity Ball that was a size 16 ( very exciting moment). I would like to really thank the Succeed team for getting me into shape and starting off the fundraising with a very kind donation for me, thank you, Rosy”.

Just wanted to let you all know that here at Succeed we are going to run a Boot Camp in Canberra to do our bit to assist the many families that are in much need of money, food and shelter.
It will only be a small token, but every bit will help the stricken families in Qld that have been affected by the devastating floods.
So what better way to help raise money than to run a fitness session. One we have designed ourselves that we believe is suited to the situation (you will see what I mean when you read the name of the session).
So for those that are able to attend here are the details:
When: Sat 5th Feb
Time: 10am
Where: Tuggeranong Town Park

Oportune Home Loans
Hey Guys,
Here is a post about one of our fantastic sponsors in Opportune Home Loans.
If you are looking for finance for a house etc then these are the guys to talk to…
A post from Chris Lee, Regional Director, Opportune Home Loans
Opportune Home Loans was founded in 2007 by CEO Paul Ryan. Ryan was a co-founder of Wizard Home Loans and left the business after its sale to GE Money to pursue the new challenge of building a new non-bank lending business to provide independence, competition and choice for Australian consumers.
The Opportune mission is to be Australia’s leading non-bank home loan provider by delivering the service all consumers expect and deserve. Most home loan products are very similar in features and interest rates and Opportune believes consumers want more choice and a better home loan experience. We believe we understand what you want from a home loan provider.
It’s time for a home loan provider that has someone who you can talk to, someone who acts in your best interests, someone who can help you after your loan settles and someone who returns your phone calls and emails.
Opportune Home Loans has a competitive and unique product range. Our interest rates are well below the rates set by the major banks and not only do we provide home loans, we also offer products in personal loans, car loans, commercial loans, equipment finance and related insurance products. We know the home loan industry inside and out and with this experience we bring you professional, intimate and personalised service.

The Ball Wrap Up
Well what a night ladies and gentlemen….
I huge thank you to all the sponsors and supporters of the 2010 Succeed Charity Gala Ball. It was a huge success and like myself I am sure you all had a fantastic night.
As soon as I have the total raised on the night I will let you know.
One thing I can say is that my head only stopped hurting on Monday morning and I am never drinking AGAIN… (until the ball next year).
I will post some photos up in the next few days, but in the meantime head here for a glimpse of the night:
Also huge thank you to all the 182 + people that came and supported the Bootcamp that Shannan Ponton and I ran in the morning. It was an amzing show of people (far more than we could have imagined).
We raised just over $2000 from the Bootcamp, which will go a long way at ‘The Special Care’ Nursery at John James Hospital to purchase a new humidy crib. So a huge thank you to all those that donated for such a worthy cause.
Also a huge thank you to my good friend Shannan Ponton for kindly giving up his time to run the Bootcamp with me, thanks mate (still not sure why everyone wanted photos with you and I get thrown in the mud…)
Here is a bit of footage:
P.S. please email me any photos you took…

Raising Money for the Hospital
Hey All,
As most of you know, my wife and I have just had our 2nd child Oliver (photo below), and we nearly lost him in the first few weeks of his life. Thanks to the tirelss efforts of many Dr’s and nurses, Ollie pulled through and is getting bigger and stronger everyday…
So this Saturday 14th August, Mr Shannan Ponton (instructor on The Biggest Loser), has been kind enough to donate his time to come and teach a Boot Camp Fitness Session in Canberra at Tugg Town Park at 10am.
Cost is $10 per person or child, with ALL proceeds going to John James Hospital to fund another humidy crib for the kids that might end up in Ollie’s position.
We love for as many of you to attend as possible and help us raise much needed funds for such an important machine to help keep the kids Alive. Here is where you money will be going (photo of Ollie in the crib):
I would like to thank Shannan for giving up his time FREE of charge to help raise the money.
For those attending the Succeed Gala Ball on the same night it is a great opportunity to get an advance on calories that we will consume during the night!!!
Details:
When: Saturday 14th August @ 10am
Where: Tuggeranong Town Park, Bartlett Place
Cost: $10 (or more if you feel you can afford it)
Hope to see you all at Tugg Town Park at 10am.
